After a successful life assurance partnership with Old Mutual, Ecobank has widened its bancassurance portfolio with another collaboration with Allianz Insurance.
Bancassurance is the selling of life assurance and other insurance products and services by banking institutions.
The partnership will enable Ecobank to distribute general insurance products and services of Allianz Insurance at all its branches nationwide.
The move will offer customers of Ecobank a wide variety of policies to conveniently purchase. The Motor Insurance Policy of Allianz will be the first product to be sold. Ecobank has availed all its electronic platform for the purchase of the policies.
The Managing Director of the bank, Dan Sackey speaking at the lunch said, “As pacesetter in the banking industry in Ghana we shall continue to explore other avenues to deepen our relationship with existing partners and also leverage technology for the provision of top-notch financial services to the Ghanaian customers.”
He added that the partnership will go a long way to drive more interest in insurance.
“The partnership combines our strong footprints in Ghana and Africa with Allianz’s deep insurance expertise to provide the necessary insurance needs for our consumer and corporate customers”.
On the part of the Allianz Insurance, Deputy Managing Director, Martin Amoah said the Motor Insurance policy is designed in a special manner, “to offer our cherished customers a much wider convenience in terms of coverage and limits within the Road Traffic Act in Ghana.”
