the under-listed position:
Job Title: Audit
Officer
Objective
To
assist the Head of internal audit to conduct audits on all internal functions
of the company in order to provide independent objective assurance to the Board
and Management, add value and improve operational efficiency.
Responsibilities
1. Gather, prepare, and analyze data during the pre-audit
phase.
2. Conduct audit sampling under the guidance of audit
team leader.
3. Perform audit field work under the supervision of audit
team leader.
4. Produce a precise and clear documentation of
observations and findings in preparation of audit work papers.
5. Assist the internal auditor in the preparation of
audit reports for engagements carried out.
6. Conduct follow up on the implementation status of
audit agreed actions.
7. Assist the internal auditor to carry out pre audit of
payment vouchers before expenses are paid.
8. Assist Head of Audit to prepare documents and the pack
for audit committee meetings.
9. Assist the internal auditor to carry out reconciliation
of commissions schedules received against commissions’ cheques that have been
banked for the week.
10. Work to achieve budgeted timescale and deadlines set.
Qualification
1. University Degree in Business Administration (Accounting
option preferred) or its equivalent.
2. A minimum of two years’ experience in audit,
controlling, accounting or other similar role
