The Passing On Of CEO Of Trans National Insurance Brokers

It is announced for the general public that the Chief Executive Officer of Trans National Insurance Brokers Limited in the person of Mr. Emmanuel Bossman Nsia passes on. According to Mrs Esther Adomako, the General Manager. this sad event occurred on 10th August 2019 at the Korle Bu Teaching Hospital after a short illness.
The funeral is scheduled for September 28, 2019 at his hometown Tikrom, near Ejisu in the Ashanti Region.
Mr. Nsiah started his insurance career in 1964 when Chartered Insurance Institute, London sent him to Insurance College, Surbiton, London under the Overseas Student Scheme they were running.
On completing the three-month course, the Institute attached him to Royal Insurance Company, Manchester as a Student Trainee for three years in the years 1964 – 1967.
He worked briefly with Provincial Insurance Company, London at their Accident Claims Department and resigned and returned to Ghana. He was interviewed in London by the State Insurance Company (SIC) and he was employed by them on his return to Ghana as Assistant Manager and Head of the company’s Reinsurance Department where he supervised all the company’s reinsurance transactions.
He was actively involved in the formation of Ghana Reinsurance Company which started as a unit of State Insurance Company (SIC). It was placed under the Reinsurance Department before it was detached to be independent of the SIC.
Mr. Nsiah voluntarily resigned from the SIC in February, 1980 (thus he was with the SIC from October 1968 – February 1980) on a grade of Deputy Chief Manager (now Deputy General Manager).
From 1980 – 1983 Mr. Nsiah operated as Insurance Managing Consultant to three newly insurance companies which had their operating Licences because Mr. Nsiah agreed to act as one.
From 1980 – 1992 Mr. Nsiah was in Nigeria as a Reinsurance Consultant. Firstly, with Great Nigeria Insurance Company (1983 – 1987) to set up a Reinsurance Department of an international standard, including training of personnel.
From January 1988 – January 1992, Mr. Nsiah again was actively involved of the formation of a reinsurance company (Globe Reinsurance Company, Lagos) operating as a pioneer Chief Technical Officer in charge of all technical transactions, and was charged to train a Nigerian to take over from him. This he did with par excellence.
