CIIG Legal Committ Concludes Work On Chartership
Reverend Asante Ahenkorah Marfo, President of the Chartered Insurance Institute of Ghana (CIIG) has revealed that. The Legal Committee of the institute has completed work on the draft bill in August last year after which the institute have had some engagement with the National Insurance Commission (NIC).
The President made this revelation during the second edition of the "President Cocktail" at the forecourt of the IC a fortnight ago. He indicated that the commissioner has asked for time to make some inputs. However, he indicated that he has received the necessary amendments from the commissioner and the finalized bill will shortly be forwarded to the Ministry of Finance.
More importantly too Ahenkrah Marfo, stated that making the profession truly diverse and inclusive requires action 'from everyone across company's and across job titles. Indeed, he said, last year, his appeal to the various companies to support the institute by joining as Chartered Corporate Institutions have yielded some good response.
